EASTON HOCKEY: NHL ATHLETE PRODUCT LAUNCH CAMPAIGN
PROJECT INSIGHT
When a premium equipment brand puts new sticks and skates in the hands of elite NHL players, the story doesn't start on the ice. It starts in a conference room, moves through a locker room, and finishes under the lights at game speed. For Easton Hockey, the goal was to document that journey in a way that felt authentic to how elite athletes actually work, not staged, not manufactured, real.
Opportunity
Easton needed imagery that could live alongside a product launch, content that showed two of the league's most respected players engaging with new gear in a genuine environment. The challenge was capturing the transition from introductory meeting to full-speed on-ice action while keeping the visual tone cinematic and the feel of the day honest. With Zach Parise of the Minnesota Wild and Mike Cammalleri of the Calgary Flames, the credibility was already in the room. The photography just had to match it.
APPROACH
The shoot unfolded across three distinct environments at the Orono Ice Rink: a conference room introduction where the athletes first engaged with the new equipment, a locker room session capturing the ritual of suiting up, and on-ice action that put the gear to work under real conditions. Each environment called for a different approach. The conference room required a documentary sensitivity, catching genuine reactions without staging them. The locker room was about texture and detail, the visual language of professional hockey at its most unguarded. The ice demanded speed, instinct, and the ability to anticipate where the action was going before it arrived.
Post-production was handled to reinforce a consistent editorial tone throughout, bold contrast, deep blacks, and the kind of cinematic grading that honors the intensity of the sport.

ATHLETES. EQUIPMENT. THE MOMENT IT ALL COMES TOGETHER.
Product launch photography at the professional level is about credibility above all else. The gear has to look the way it performs, and the athletes have to look the way they compete. By following Parise and Cammalleri through the full arc of the day, from first look at the product to full-speed on ice, the imagery told a complete story that no studio shoot could replicate.
Key Outcomes:
Documented a national product launch for a premier hockey equipment brand alongside two active NHL athletes
Produced imagery across three distinct environments in a single production day
Delivered editorial and commercial assets usable across print, digital, and campaign contexts
Captured authentic athlete engagement with product at the point of introduction, before choreography replaced instinct
Built a visual narrative that supported both brand identity and product credibility
