BOUDOIR PORTRAIT SESSIONS
For you. Not for anyone else.
Boudoir photography has one purpose: to show you something about yourself you already knew but maybe stopped believing. This is not about performing for someone else's benefit. It is about showing up, being seen, and walking away with images that remind you exactly who you are.
I shoot boudoir sessions the same way I approach every portrait project. With intention, with direction, and with results that look like they belong in a magazine.
What makes this different
BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY DONE WITH CRAFT
Not a template. Not a formula. Not the same poses you've seen a hundred times.
Every session is built around you specifically. We talk through your comfort level, your aesthetic preferences, the looks and locations you have in mind, and what you want to feel when you see the final images. Then we build the shoot around that conversation.
Bold lighting. Deliberate composition. Images that feel confident and intentional, not accidental.
Think editorial. Think cinematic. Think the version of you that you want documented.

WHERE WE SHOOT
A hotel room beats a studio every time.
Boudoir sessions are not shot in a generic white-wall studio. They are shot in spaces that actually feel like something. A well-chosen hotel room brings everything a studio cannot replicate: ambient light through real windows, furniture with texture and weight, a bed that looks like a bed and not a prop, and an atmosphere that puts you in the right headspace before we ever pick up a camera.
You book the room. You pick the hotel. And here is the thing: the nicer the room, the better the images. A suite at a boutique hotel in downtown Minneapolis gives us completely different material than a standard room off the highway. Better light, better finishes, better everything. The room is part of the shoot.
It also means the space is entirely yours. No other clients, no studio staff walking through, no shared common areas. Just you, your guest if you bring one, and a room that feels like it was designed for exactly this.
A few things to keep in mind when booking:
Higher floors typically mean better window light
Suites and corner rooms give us more space and more shooting angles
Check-in the night before if you want to fully settle in before the session
Minneapolis has no shortage of great options at every price point
The investment in a great room pays off in the images. It’s worth doing right.
COMFORT AND SAFETY
YOUR COMFORT IS NOT A COURTESY
Your boundaries run this session.
Before we ever get on set, we talk through your boundaries in full. What you’re comfortable with, what you’re not, where the line is. Once that is established, it does not move. There is no moment in the session where you feel pressure to go further than you planned. That is not how I work, and it is not how a good session works.
If something feels off, we stop. If something does not feel right in concept, we change it. Your comfort produces better images anyway. A relaxed subject who feels in control looks completely different from one who does not.
SAFETY AND PROFESSIONALISM
Bring whoever makes you feel comfortable.
A friend, a partner, a sister. Anyone. There is no reason to show up somewhere unfamiliar with someone you do not know without a support system. Bring your person. Plenty of my clients do and it makes for a better session, not an awkward one.
A relaxed, comfortable subject produces the best images. Simple as that.
Creating a safe, professional environment is not optional. It is the foundation.
Who This Is For
Boudoir sessions work for anyone who wants them. Women marking a milestone. Couples. A bride-to-be looking for a gift for her new husband. Individuals who have been thinking about doing something like this for years and finally want to actually do it. People who want to give someone a gift they will never forget. People who just want the experience for themselves, with no other reason needed.
What it requires is a willingness to show up and trust the process. The rest we figure out together.
NOTE: All clients must be 21 or older to book a boudoir session. Valid government-issued photo ID is required at the time of the session, no exceptions. This is a firm policy.
